Literacy for ELL (English Language Learners)
Origin:
I started my nonprofit Literacy for ELL in my sophomore year of high school. I did so because I remembered the difficulties I faced once being an English language learner and saw the lack of multilingual books while volunteering at Reading Partners.
Impact
Youth-led, Literacy for ELL has reached over 500 students across 6 countries and has donated over 7,000 books to Reading Partners. We have also received $5,500 in grant funding.
